The Dawn Gideon Foundation, through the generosity of Huron, is proud to offer the Dawn Gideon-Huron Scholarship.
Recipients and Terms of the Award
The scholarship will be awarded to women who self-identify as Black/African American, Latinx/Hispanic or Native American or have demonstrated a commitment to health equity and who is pursuing a master’s degree in healthcare administration and/or business administration. Both one or two year awards of $5,000 per academic year are available. For students who will be enrolling for the first time in the fall it is a two year award. One year awards are available for those students already enrolled.
Application and Selection
Applicants will submit the following credentials to the Dawn Gideon Foundation:
• A complete undergraduate transcript.
• A personal resume.
• A statement explaining their desire to pursue a career in healthcare management.
• Information regarding the graduate program they will attend.
The above information can be submitted either via email to info@dawngideonfoundation.org or mailed to The Dawn Gideon Foundation, 1071 Parkview Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA 15217.
Selection will be by a committee comprised of representatives from The Dawn Gideon Foundation and Huron.

The deadline for application for academic year 2024-2025 is June 30, 2024. Notification of award will be no later than July 31, 2024.
